"I don't know if I can," I mumble, my voice still groggy.

"Try, but if you can't that's alright," I say with a warm smile.

"Should I go back to bed...?" I ask, though it's comfortable here so I don't really feel like moving.

"If you think you'll sleep better there, but it doesn't matter to me," I say, running my fingers through your hair again.
|
||||||||||||
|
I shrug. "I think I'll just stay here...you could shower while I sleep, if you want. Just...be careful about glass if we missed any..."
|

|
"I probably should... Alright, I won't be long. Get some rest then," I smile, supporting your head as I get up. I place a pillow under your head and adjust the blanket on you before I start to walk towards the bathroom.

I situate myself on the couch, opting to lay on my side again and close my eyes. I am truly exhausted, though sleep doesn't come as easily this time so I just lay there with my eyes closed and rest.

I walk into the bathroom, wary of any potential glass, and I strip down quickly and jump into the shower to wash off. I sing quietly to myself as I grab the shampoo and begin to work it into my hair.

I drift in and out of sleep, managing to fall asleep for a little while then waking up.
|
||||||||||||
|
I finish showering relatively quickly and I step out, wrapping a towel around my waist before heading off to our bedroom to get dressed into something comfortable.

I manage to fall into a half sleep, but I'd easily be awaken by noise.
|

I pull on a pair of sweatpants and a loose t-shirt before I wander quietly back out to the living room to see if you're asleep or not. I'm hoping you are.

I hear the sound of your footsteps in the background of my mind, but it doesn't bother me too much. I try to keep myself in this half sleep, but it's shaky and sort of in and out.

I smile at your sleeping form, though I suspect you're probably in a light sleep right now, so I take a seat in the chair opposite the couch.
|

|
Somehow, I manage to fall back asleep again, drifting off into a deep, dreamless sleep.

I simply turn and watch the television as time passes, and I find myself immensely grateful that you're getting sleep. You must've been so tired before..
|

I sleep for about an hour and a half, until about 6:15 pm before I'm awoken by my stomach growling. I slowly crack my eyes open and look over at you watching TV. "H-hi.."

I turn to face you at the sound of your voice, "Hey there sleepy head~" I say with a warm smile.

||||||||||||
|
"How long was I asleep?" I ask in a groggy, weak voice. Have you been here this whole time?
|
||||||||||||
|
"If you slept the whole time I was in the shower.. about two hours?" I say, trying to count the time in my mind.
|
||||||||||||
|
"I slept part of it, I think.." I say, trying to pinpoint the exact time I fell asleep, but it's hazy.
|
||||||||||||
|
"So an hour and a half to two hours," I conclude with a warm smile, "Do you feel a little better?"
|
||||||||||||
|
Your smile, for some reason, is really nice for me to wake up to. I can feel its warmth.
"I don't know yet...I'm still pretty tired, but...I think it helped," I say, trying to sound positive. |

"Good," I grin, "I always feel better after I've got some sleep. Plus being tired is never any fun."

||||||||||||
|
"Yeah.." I agree. No sleep for a few days was indeed awful. Again, my stomach growls and I groan quietly. I wish it would stop just for today..

|
I pick up on the soft sound right away, "Are you hungry? I can make us some dinner," I offer.
|
||||||||||||
|
"N-no...I'm fine," I say immediately. I know you really want me to eat, but I don't think I can handle it...not today.
|
||||||||||||
|
"I know you don't want to eat...but your body needs it. Can you try something small? I can make broth.." I offer, knowing you need to eat.
|

|
I bite my lip and look away as I slowly sit up. You're making me feel bad about it, but I don't know...

"I know this is hard for you, but your body needs food. I can't convince you that you're thin - too thin, really - but please trust me.."
